Mike has a mannerism where he occasionally seems to pull up a sleeve by tugging at his shirt just above the shoulder. I do this now. I do this now actively and have for years. And I'm 100% certain it comes from his YouTube videos. I'm not even a person. I'm just a weird amalgamation of the things I stole from other people.

I still try and step over chairs like Riker, for Christ's sake.

The stuff is good, it's insightful, it has given me ideas. It's also delivered with breathlessly authority. Delivered with a kind of momentum and certainty that provides a sense of warmth but is void of the introspective pauses that show an acknowledgement of the real confusion intrinsic to the subject.

Maybe I'm interested because it's an independent validation of things that I already feel like are the case and that I knew and that I've been working towards but being given by somebody who's number two in tech on Substack. Whatever that means. That's, like, comforting, I guess?

Unambiguously, I already paid this other guy. but he's basically the coolest guy, so you should watch this. Benn Jordan is basically the person that I wish I was.

I'm embedding his newest vid because it's, I guess, more fresh? But his back catalog is just full of unambiguously fantastic stuff. You should probably subscribe and bell and all the other stupid things and maybe also give him money because he seems to use it for genuinely fantastic stuff and is more transparent than virtually anyone else that I've encountered as a creator.
