Evolution is not superhumans.

The younger generations are not getting dumber.

They're scoring poorly on tests measuring skills we say are important, as the people making the tests. The younger generations are doing what they do. They're getting better and better at navigating the world that they've been given to navigate. Not the pretend world we're testing for.

Narcissism, immediate gratification, pacification, credulity, hell, gambling ... those are the skills we're demanding of them with our actions.

The next generation will be better than us, just like we were better than our parents, at coping with the world we have put them in. No matter how fucked up that world is.

That we have put them in a world that does not reward or value creativity, deep thought or connection is 100% our failing, not theirs. They're not stupid, we are. It's it's fucking unconscionable.
